Enter Imagination: Part 16: Species of Super Beings

Many species of super beings exist in the known universe. Some species are rare, but others are fairly common. Ballatar was a unique galaxy which was the origin of many thousands of species of super beings, both rare and common. However, Bad Axe-man depopulated it during his onslaught and most of the species became extinct.

The Royal Family of Super Beings existed millions of years before Bad Axe-man arrived in Ballatar. At one time, all super beings in Ballatar were part of the Royal Family, but eventually The Army of Conquest separated at some point in their remote past. The issue of the split as well as the time that it occurred was always disputed.

Prince Freedom came from a rare species that possessed great intelligence, varied levels of super strength, and extended longevity. Many of his species lived 100,000 years or more. Prince Freedom was only 50,000 years old when he died. His sister, Princess Aira, due to her mother’s gene, gave her a more pronounced longevity than most. Her strength was also much greater than Prince Freedom’s.

Prince Notorian had the same mother as Prince Freedom but a different father. Prince Notorian was related to Princess Aira only through their brother. Prince Freedom and Princess Aira had the same father. Prince Notorian took many attributes from his father’s species. He possessed telekinesis and super strength far beyond any other being in Ballatar.

Many species had become extinct during the period of Bad Axe-man, and many others were endangered. Most remaining species were, in fact, on the verge of extinction. Some species which were fairly common at one time had as few as 2 or 3 specimens left.

The War of Ballatar between the remaining species threatened them all to extinction, so many urged for a peaceful resolution.

Enter Imagination: Part 15: The Divide

Captain Elite finally repaired his flight suit which he dubbed the Freedom Suit in honor of his fallen friend. He fixed it just in time, as Notorian and the Returning Heroes split from Captain Elite and Princess Aira’s forces. Volgar took advantage of the situation and attacked.

Notorian did not support the Royal Family against Volgar in that campaign, but he also failed to support Volgar and the Army of Conquest. He waited to see the outcome. If Notorian had attacked the Royal Family at that time, then it would have been utterly destroyed.

When Volgar attacked, Captain Elite went out to meet the attack armed with his Lance Sword and Freedom Suit. The other members of his alliance were not ready, so Captain Elite fought a minor battle against the Advance Guard alone. He smote the entire guard. Volgar, therefore, decided to withdraw the rest of his forces.

After that first minor battle, Captain Elite’s allies came forth to join him. He decided to attack Volgar’s headquarter in an attempt to cut off the enemy’s head. Captain Elite’s force numbered 700.

The attack caught Volgar off guard, but he escaped in the confusion. He later rejoined his main army. The battle cost Volgar 300 troops. Captain Elite’s force only lost 12.

Enter Imagination: Part 14: Return to Ballatar

Did I ever tell you the story about how Captain Elite saved our galaxy from the indestructible being, Vance Destroyer?

After the defeat of Bad Axe-man, Captain Elite returned to Ballatar, Prince Freedom’s home galaxy. It took many years, even though he flew aboard the fastest and most advanced starship in the known universe. Captain Elite’s flight suit had been damaged during the epic battle with Bad Axe-man.

When he reached Ballatar, he immediately told Princess Aira and Prince Notorian the bad news that their brother, Prince Freedom had been slain in battle. He could have allowed one of the telepaths to send the message ahead of his arrival, but he chose to tell them in person because he felt responsible. Princess Aira forgave him, but Prince Notorian did not.

Notorian sided with a group of the returning heroes that believed Captain Elite had mismanaged the campaign against Bad Axe-man. They accounted the heavy loss of life to Captain Elite’s ineffective strategy rather than Bad Axe-man’s great power. It was against that background that Captain Elite struggled to form a coalition to fight Volgar and the Army of Conquest.
